Yesterday morning, I put Francis and Sally on a plane to Oklahoma City. It’s good that the people of Oklahoma get this opportunity to enjoy Francis, but I miss her. Getting her out of bed in the morning is a highlight of my day. This is a picture of Francis enjoying her breakfast this morning. Sally took it on her phone and sent it to me.      
Well, we hired someone to refinish them. Click the photo to check out a set of before and after photos. The house is starting to really turn a corner. Now on to the kitchen remodel and the porch remodel…! Wew… deep breath. Look at me, I’m cute. The other day, Sally ran into a lady who was walking a shaved german shepherd mix. This lady shaved her dog because his shedding was the one thing that kept him from being the best possible pet. Apparently shepherds shed every single hair on their bodies twice a year. She’s been shaving her dog for eight years, and would never go back to the constant sweeping up. Scout also has a shedding problem. We don’t like to talk about it. It’s our dirty little secret. But this lady and her dog inspired us. So yesterday, Scout had a date with the clippers at PetsMart. I am really pretty impressed with his new look. I was afraid that he would look like hairless rat-dog. Instead, he looks like a dog who just joined the army and got the required haircut. He looks sharp and put-together. Best of all, he seems to like it.

Y'all are too funny! Though it's truly amazing, I think his long legs attribute to his NOT looking like a hairless rat-dog. Congrats, you lucky dogz!

Scout is HOTTT! Sally and Francis made a pilgrimage today. For those of you who haven’t heard, Mary may be making an appearance in Chicago. Specifically, her image is on the wall of a highway underpass about a mile away from our condo. So, around four o’clock this afternoon, Sally and Francis went to check it out. Francis wasn’t sure it was a miracle, but she touched the wall just to be safe. Sally’s skeptical, too. And frankly, so am I. Based on the pictures Sally took, I’ve seen better likenesses of Mary in a bowl of corn chex. How does this appearance stack up with other recent showings? You be the judge: * UPDATE * Sally pointed out last night (and Kristen points out in the comments) the curious case of the “Nun Bun” in Nashville, TN. While this is probably the best likeness I’ve seen of a religious figure on an edible item, I should note that the pastry is thought to resemble Mother Theresa, not Mary.
