Our kids watch a lot of Phineas and Ferb (Remember our Halloween costumes?). Maybe our kids watch too much TV in general, but it’s hard to feel bad about that particular show. It’s never off-color, always clever, good-natured, musical, and funny. But far and away my favorite thing about Phineas and Ferb is that whenever Sam sees any large steel-trussed structure in the real world, he points to it and says, “Phineas and Ferb made that!.”
It always makes me laugh and reassures me that while Sam might not yet grasp the difference between real and make-believe, he’s definitely observant.
